I look forward to the return of the Orioles every year. They seem to come to my window to let me know that they are back and want to eat!

While making coffee I looked out to view this event taking place. This is the first opportunity for me to take a picture of the orioles. My wife and I were very excited to see these beauties especially knowing that a pair was visiting the feeder, both male and female.

I've only seen one Oriole in our area in the past 20 years and was sooo excited. Will put out a feeder this year and hope to get a visit. The hummingbirds are back, thank goodness....we had a fire in the neighborhood and they left last year...guess from the smoke. So, I'm glas to see they returned.

I have been feeding Orioles for quite a few years now, and always look forward to their return in the spring. We refer to them as 'jelly junkies' as cut oranges and orange nectar do not interest them in the least. They only want grape jelly - even if it is the cheap stuff!

I had two Baltimore Orioles visit for one day migrating through in St. Marys, PA 15857 May 5, 2008.
My hummingbird also came back one day early due to it being leap year this year.

I was so excited to see a male and a female oriole at my hummingbird feeder on May 7th. I put out two orange halves, and an oriole feeder but they seem to go for the hummingbird feeder. Tomorrow I'm going for the jelly and hope to keep them coming back. They are so beautiful!

On mother's Day six years ago it was quite chilly, damp and rainy. When we got home from church we literally counted 31 orioles & 3 scarlet tanagers in our
two trees that we provide sugar water, oranges and lots of grape jelly. It was an unbelievable sight!!
